Stand Firm ~ The Battle Is Not Yours

The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.”
EXODUS 14:14 AMP

Life is something that we cannot plan for.  As children of Abba Father, we are dependent on the plan and the purpose that He has ordained for our lives as written in our book of life.  It is our responsibility to ensure that we are aligned with these plans by living in a communal relationship with our Heavenly Father.  He teaches and prepares us for the bigger picture of our lives but we don't always see this from His point of view.  He is the Author and Perfecter of our faith and it is up to us to trust and obey what He has planned for our journey here on planet Earth.

Sometimes life can throw you a curve ball, something not anticipated, that pops up out of nowhere and causes chaos in your life. And there are so many situations I could mention which you would probably witness to as well. We tend to go into a mode of questioning God with loads of "why" questions and might even feel like we have done something wrong and are being punished.  But these are lies from the enemy which we tend to partner with during these times of testing.

Beloved, know that you are already equipped for the battle at hand. You might not agree with me right now, but you have been equipped with the Armour of God and the treasures you have been taught in your previous season.  Sit and reflect on the significant moments in your life where Abba has come through for you.  These are the altars of promises you call upon during this season of trial and testing.

I want to assure you that God is fighting for you and I can personally witness to this.  You have to surrender to Him and allow Him to fight your battles for you.  Stand firm on His Word and remind Him of His Promises spoken over your life.  Stand knowing and believing that He is fighting for you. Stand knowing that Abba is a Good Father and although He does not cause the chaos, He allows us to endure the testing to produce the fruits of the Spirit.  You are standing in a position of victory for this battle has already been won on the Cross of Calvary.  You have to believe that you are His and He is yours.  Your battle plan is to worship Him as your King, Lord and Saviour. Exalt His Name above all, putting Him first in everything in your life.  Stand firm and pray about everything, for you are being renewed into the image and character of Jesus Christ the Messiah.  Keep standing beloved, you are part of God's plan and He is fighting for you.

Through Him, we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power]. And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation]. Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.  ROMANS 5:2‭-‬5 AMP

Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us].  1 CORINTHIANS 16:13‭-‬14 AMP

For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world--our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].  1 JOHN 5:4 AMP

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to [successfully] resist and stand your ground in the evil day [of danger], and having done everything [that the crisis demands], to stand firm [in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious]. So stand firm and hold your ground, having  tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart), and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news]. Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people.  EPHESIANS 6:10‭-‬18 AMP
