The Father's Blessing



Genesis 1:27‭-‬28 AMP
27 "So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 
28 And God blessed them [granting them certain authority] and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

Genesis 1:26‭-‬28 MSG
"God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.” God created human beings; He created them godlike, Reflecting God’s nature. He created them male and female. God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.”

God's favour and protection.

Hebrew meaning for the word blessing  Baruch - to kneel down before someone speaking words to empower and to prosper.

The act of speaking a blessing has been ordained by God since the beginning of creation when He said that it was good and blessed it to prosper. Abba Father blessed Adam and Eve to multiply, to be fruitful and to take dominion and to rule over every living creature. 

Speaking a blessing over our spouses, children, grandchildren, our nation and others is an art that we as sons and daughters of Abba Father need to restore and steward in our culture. The Word commands us to choose life and to speak life, to bless and not to curse. May we walk in union as the Bride of Christ and speak the words that God has commanded us to speak over ourselves and others. His plan for us is to have peace, well-being with a future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Testimony
A few weeks ago I was admitted to hospital for a procedure. As I was waking up from the anesthesia, I saw a male figure with pure white hair and a white beard sitting next to my bed with his one hand on mine. I asked Abba if this was Him sitting here. I then had a clearer view and saw that it was John Paul Jackson sitting next to my bed. Abba Father then responded by saying: "I have sent him to represent me as the Father". I then realised that John Paul Jackson was there to pray for me and to bless me with a father's blessing. It reminded me of a YouTube clip of him speaking a blessing as a father to the listener.

Below is the blessing. May this word bless your heart to prosper in all your ways according to God's Original Design and to encourage you to move in the likeness of Abba Father - releasing His blessings of His anointing wherever we go.
