Passover 4: The Cup of Rescue into His Light
Exodus 6:5-8 AMP
[5] And I have also heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians have enslaved, and I have [faithfully] remembered My covenant [with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob]. [6] Therefore, say to the children of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will free you from their bondage. I will redeem and rescue you with an outstretched (vigorous, powerful) arm and with great acts of judgment [against Egypt]. [7] Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who redeemed you and brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
Let there be light (Genesis 1:3) and there was light. In the beginning when there was darkness brooding over the face of the earth, the earth was without form and void. The darkness was a kingdom that was over the earth, with chaos and confusion. But My Word is a Lamp and there was light birthed on the earth with a seed of the spoken word, Let there the light!
Light brings life to the darkness and exposes all that is not created by Me. My Light illuminates and brings out the purity of what I have created on the inside of you.
My outstreched arm brought the Israelites out of Egypt, setting them apart from the darkness that was ruling over them. I have called them My chosen nation as a foreshadowing of what is to come.
You have been rescued by My outstretched arm from the darkness of this world that has kept you in bondage. With just one word by the Word, you have been called from the darkness into His Kingdom of marvelous light.
I Am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life. (John 8:12). You are My generation, a holy priesthood that has been set apart from the darkness of this world to be the city on a hill shinging brightly, the radiance of My Glory to those who is seeking the light in the darkness.
Let there be light!
Matthew 5:14-16 AMP
[14] “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; [15] nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. [16] Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Colossians 1:13-14 AMP
[13] For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, [14] in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins’ penalty].
1 Peter 2:9 AMP
[9] But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
