Feast of Shavuot or Pentecost : Feasting At His Table

Psalm 34:8 Today on the Biblical calendar, the 6th of Sivan 5784 (12 June 2024) marks the 50th day from the Feast of First Fruits or the Day of Jesus' Resurrection. This is the Feast of Shavuot or the Feast of Weeks widely known as Pentecost. You can read more about this feast in the post From Agreement To Multiplication . On this 50th day, we read in the Old Testament in Exodus 19 and 20 where God gave His Word, the Torah, to Moses and the Israelites. In the New Testament, in Acts chapters 1 and 2, those who waited in one accord received the gift of baptism of the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues. The Word (Torah) reveals God the Father to us through His written word. On Pentecost, the Church was born and received the gift of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us comes upon us and works through us, to give us revelation on the word of God and convicts us when we are not living according to His word.
